Are you sure you have posted the right log file?

I don't see the error

../.././libgfortran/runtime/string.c:96:1: error: static declaration of
'strnlen' 

in it and HAVE_STRNLEN is defined, thus the block

{
  for (size_t ii = 0; ii < maxlen; ii++)
    {

        return ii;
    }

should be skipped.
