This works for me with, i.e. the 
/bin/sh: gnatls: command not found
is gone.

$ ../../gcc.gnu.org/trunk/configure --target=avr
--prefix=/local/gnu/install/gcc-4.8 --disable-nls --with-dwarf2
--enable-target-optspace=yes --enable-languages=c,c++

build:  i686-pc-linux-gnu
host:   i686-pc-linux-gnu
target: avr-unknown-none

Someone else will have to test if it works if Ada is on.  BTW, today is Ada's
birthday :-)
