I am still investigating what caused the breakage reported in comment #5,
likely revision 174286, but it has nothing to do with this pr that is fixed
with the patch in comment #5 (successful bootstrap with it at r174284). Note
that $$(libgcc_objdir)/libgcc-std.ver (or $(libgcc_objdir)/libgcc-std.ver) does
not work.

Don't forget s390 and sh platforms for which I cannot do any test.
