cselib actually.  Shorter testcase:

struct S { struct S *d[2]; };

struct S *
foo (struct S *x)
{
  struct S *y, *z;
  y =
x->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1];
  z =
y->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1]->d[1];
  return z;
}
