On x86_64-apple-darwin10 r171957, I bootstrap with --enable-checking=release
(or with the default value), but I also get

Bootstrap comparison failure!
gcc/final.o differs
gcc/haifa-sched.o differs
libiberty/cp-demangle.o differs
make[2]: *** [compare] Error 1

with --disable-checking.
