Replacing the gcc_assert with

      if (!overriding || !overriding->n.tb)
        return FAILURE;

Fixes the problem.  This looks like one ICE too far :-)

It might be best, I suppose, to limit the above to overriding and to retain the
assert for its being a typebound procedure, if found.
