I switched back to the default system compiler:
 gcc (GCC) 4.2.1 20070719  [FreeBSD]

now GMP passes all tests, gcc45 is built fine, and
I can build and run lapack fine. No idea what
happened in the meantime, as I surely started from
the system compiler in the first place. Perhaps something
changed in GMP in the meantime.

Anyway, please close this bug report.
