I don't actually understand this (yet), as I don't know why the debugger would
need the debug info to be loaded into the inferior's memory; it's not like the
.debug_loc section gets allocated either.  However I'm perfectly able to go
ahead and test a patch without fully understanding that :) if you think just
giving up on tracking string values is the way to go.
