[Bug c/40312] Compiling with O2 flag lead to wrong binary code (X86 system 32bit)

It works for me with

$ gcc-4.1 --version
gcc-4.1 (GCC) 4.1.3 20080704 (prerelease) (Debian 4.1.2-25)

and all other GCC versions I try.
