That's OK. GCC attempts to detect at configure time if the installed toolchain
supports the feature, and will configure itself to generate or not the
3-operand form according to the results of that test. The command-line option
is there if you ever need to override it, but that'll only be the case if
you're mixing-and-matching toolsets or doing some other kind of complex
trickery that involves using GCC with a different binutils from that it was
configured for.
