[Bug fortran/42527] Fortran FORMAT descriptor "X" generates nulls instead of blanks for ACCESS='stream" files

This quite confusing.  Are you using 4.4.3 or 4.3.2?  Did you
build this yourself?

This appears to be fixed in the newer versions.
Can you update to a newer version 4.4.x or 4.5.0
from the gfortran wiki?
