3 of the vmx tests (3a-04.c, 3a-04m.c, and 3a-05.c) fail on different powerpc
machines because the test relies on the Vector 2 Raised to the Exponent
Estimate and Vector Reciprocal Estimate instructions producing the exact same
bit value for each machine. Since these instructions are estitmate functions,
different implementations of the powerpc architecture produce different
results. Floating point equality should never have been used for these tests.
I have patches to change the test to see whether the value produces is accurate
to 4 decimal digits using greater than and less than tests, which I will attach
shortly.
