Hello,
Actually I've encountered an error with Microsoft nmake... I've tried to
reproduce it with make, but it seemed to work OK.
It still seems to me a bug that a very long line is prepended with a
backslash and spaces, but it may indeed be something very slight.

Can you show in which way they interfere? If they cause an error, then post
it, please. Which make implementation?
