[Bug fortran/32644] New: "CHARACTER*1, c" produces "Unclassifiable statement"

When I compile the program listed below with the latest snapshot version of
gfortran, I get the message "Error: Unclassifiable statement at (1)". I believe
this bug was introduced by a recent fix.
