The Digital|Compaq|HP|Intel implementation goes for a module 'DFLIB', though I
have to admit I get lost with the pros and cons.

Regarding whether this should be implemented at all, I would be very
self-centered and point that several other compilers support this extension, so
there had to be enough people requesting it...
