Confirmed.

Simplified testcase:

  integer :: a(2,2) = reshape( (/ max((/ 1,2 /), (/ 3,4 /)), (/4,5/) /),
(/2,2/))
end

It seems that the array-valued MAX is crucial here. If removed or replaced by a
scalar-valued MAX, it works as expected. OTOH, removing RESHAPE works as well.
