The following invalid testcase triggers an ICE since GCC 3.4.0:

=========================================
struct A
{
  virtual A* foo();
};

struct B : virtual A
{
  virtual B* foo();
};

struct C : B
{
  virtual C& foo();
};
=========================================

bug.cc:13: error: conflicting return type specified for 'virtual C& C::foo()'
bug.cc:8: error:   overriding 'virtual B* B::foo()'
bug.cc:12: internal compiler error: in update_vtable_entry_for_fn, at
cp/class.c:2105
