The testcase in comment #3 crashes again on mainline
when compiled with "-O2 -ftree-loop-linear" at least
on i686-pc-linux-gnu and x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.

The 4.1 branch seems not to be affected.
The testcase crashes at least since 20060211.
