This was most likely caused by:
2004-12-30  Mark Mitchell  <mark@codesourcery.com>

        * decl.c (duplicate_decls): Call ggc_free on declarations we will
        not be needing any longer.

The FUNCTION_DECL is still referenced for some reason after the ggc_free.
