sorry to bug you again, but I ran make like this and got exactly the same
problem :-(

make clean && make all-target-libstdc++-v3
LIBPATH="/usr/lib/gcc/powerpc64-unknown-linux-gnu/4.1.0-beta20050730/"
BOOT_CFLAGS=" -O2 -pipe"
