Ignore the sources in comment #0, I got the definition wrong.
The following is the way libjava produces the code (now I don't know if this is valid or not):

struct a
{
  virtual void g();
  virtual void f();
};
void a::f(){}

int main() { a b; b.f(); b.g(); }

struct a
{
  virtual void g();
  virtual void f(){}
};
void a::g() {}
