Also: if the correct (GNU) header is present, and the problem is happening later,
you should double check that you are installing correctly the new compilers more
generally, i.e., that, when compiling with 4.0.0 all the new libraries are 
correctly picked at application startup: please attach here the output of ldd
on an application that is giving you problems.
