Confirmed, it also happens on PPC-darwin too.
Note here is a testcase for x86 (32bit):
#include <stddef.h>
extern void *memset (void *, int, size_t);
extern void *my_memset (void *, int, size_t);
void
foo (void *to,int i, size_t count)
{
memset (to, 0, count);
}
void
bar (void *to, int i, size_t count)
{
my_memset (to, 0, count);
}
And this has been happening since at least: "3.5.0 20040909"
