Fixed by:
        * i386.h (MODE_NEEDED): Calls need UNINITIALIZED mode; add comment.
        (EMIT_MODE_SET): UNINITIALIZED mode needs no set.
        * i386.md (i387_cw): Add 'uninitialized' mode.
