What is the status on this bug?

With Danny Smith's proposed patch, what remains to be done before it can be
committed?

By the way, that patch appears to be incomplete; the source for three files
seems to be missing:
? include/pex-read.h
? libiberty/pexrd-generic.c
? libiberty/pexrd-unix.c
