Andreas just posted his results:

and, as you can see, pthread7-rope does *not* fail! Therefore, I decided to
rebuild passing --enable-__cxa_atexit, as Andreas does, and indeed the
behavior changes for good! Therefore, ""only"" the default behaviour is
now wrong. Is this intended? Definitely the current std::allocator *relies*
on the correct behavior.
