I am planning to use the following code as workaround, which does not crash.

#include <assert.h>
#include <stdio.h>
#include <stdlib.h>

extern bool cond;

typedef int (*FuncPtr)();

FuncPtr funcPtr;

int foobar(int foo, int bar = ((cond?funcPtr:(fprintf(stderr, "problem at
