I appreciate all your hard works and time on this issue.
I queue your proposed patch for 3.3.5. It won't make it into 3.3.4,
unfortunately. The alpha-dec problem will the last one to be solved
for 3.3.4.
Richard's problem with POOMA is a _long_ standaing problem starting
with 3.3.0. It is not triggered by a recent patch. It just happens
that many bugs are intertweaned. I really want to help solve this
problem, but I don't think we should revert Dave's or Zdenek's patch.
I want to help all interested parties to get forward.
