Can you provide the output of gcc -v?
I still cannot reproduce it with:
gcc pr14776.c -O2 -march=pentium4 -mfpmath=sse -c -g -malign-double -mstack-arg-probe 
-mfp-ret-in-387 -mieee-fp
on linux.
