[Bug c++/16027] Enabling optimisation causes segfault

It has nothing to do with libstdc++. I said at the bottom I tested for that and 
it's not the case. I was trying to show I had thought of various possibilities.

It's GCC's optimiser. That surely means it's a bug in GCC???
