I think mudflap works on Panther (OS X 10.3.x, aka darwin7.4.0), but on Tiger, we needed a patch.  
Dale can provide the patch.  I think it was to do with RTD_NEXT, or lack of it.  We may have `fixed' 
the OS as well to not need the patch, I haven't checked recently.
