Here's a testcase that crashes the C as well as the C++ frontend.
Just compile with "-O2 -fPIC":

void bar(int**);

void foo(int i)
{
  int *p;

  if (i) *p = 0;
  bar(&p);
  *p++ = *baz();
  *p++ = 0;
