[Bug libstdc++/16371] gcc 3.4.1 fails to configure on amd64 with multilib enabled

err... that is, without any additional options other than --enable-multilib,
which i believe is the default anyways.

i would also like to note that the gentoo 20040601 snapshot of gcc 3.4.1 also
seems to work.
