at -O0, the rtl that works is:
(set (mem:QI (plus:HI (reg/f:HI 30 r30 [orig:621 rp ] [621])
                (const_int 1 [0x1])) [0 S1 A8])
        (reg:QI 24 r24 [orig:623+1 ] [623]))
looks like the replacement from r30 to r26 is causing this.
