Actually, this wasn't even so hard. Take this example:
--------------------------
#include <map>
int main ()
{
std::map<int,int> m;
m[1] = 1;
}
--------------------------
This yields:
lib/base> /home/bangerth/bin/gcc-3.4-pre/bin/c++ x.cc
lib/base> ./a.out
./a.out: relocation error: ./a.out: symbol
_ZSt29_Rb_tree_insert_and_rebalancebPSt18_Rb_tree_node_baseS0_RS_, version
GLIBCXX_3.4 not defined in file libstdc++.so.6 with link time reference
I'm on x86 linux, btw.
