[Bug other/14304] New: make install tries to modify source tree

Perhaps it is not really a but at least I think it is unwanted.

> mkdir gcc-3.3.3-jr-obj
> cd gcc-3.3.3-jr-obj
> ../gcc-3.3.3-jr/configure --prefix=/tools/pkg/gcc/3.3.3 \

I have the GCC3.3.3 source tree in 
.../gcc-3.3.3-jr
made a parallel build directory 
.../gcc-3.3.3-jr-obj

configured
