And here is a testcase where we don't use an unitialized variable and no loops either:
      COMMON TA,A                                
      COMPLEX*16 CLAM2                                                                    
      CLAM2=DCMPLX(A,2.0)                                                       
      TA=DIMAG(CLAM2)
      RETURN                                                                                                                                   
      END
