This might get into 4.0.0 because __builtin_apply is so broken on most targets that fails for most tests 
already now on the mainline.

Patch here: <http://gcc.gnu.org/ml/gcc-patches/2004-12/msg00841.html>, just waiting for a global 
write maintainer to approve it.
