Summary: jc1 -femit-class-files without -fsyntax-only segfaults.
Product: gcc
Version: 3.2.1
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: minor
Priority: P2
Component: java
AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
ReportedBy: suckfish at ihug dot co dot nz
CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org
This will probably only affect gcj developers, not users.
Invoking jc1 -femit-class-files without -fsyntax-only is broken:
$ cat temp.java
class temp
{
int i = 2;
}
$ dev/test/libexec/gcc/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.4/jc1 -femit-class-files temp.java
temp.java:1: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://gcc.gnu.org/bugs.html> for instructions.
Probably -femit-class-files should imply -fsyntax-only anyway.
