Yes, GNU make 3.79.1 as delivered in the toolbox

On an updated machine, I will use the same window to build gcc-3.3 and it fails
as indicated on a gcc-3.3.1.  With just ML4, both build fine.

Of course, one of the major updates in the critical fixes is a libc update, but
rather than assuming, we were hoping someone more familiar with the code could
better pinpoint the failure - and then IBM could have something to go fix (again).
