Summary: gcj verifier improperly handles subroutines
Product: gcc
Version: 3.4
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: java
AssignedTo: unassigned at gcc dot gnu dot org
ReportedBy: tromey at gcc dot gnu dot org
CC: gcc-bugs at gcc dot gnu dot org
The gcj verifier improperly handles subroutines.
For instance, it is valid to "goto" into a subroutine
provided that the subroutine never executes a "ret".
Some java compilers generate code like this.
The result is that gcj can't compile some .jar files in
eclipse.
