I also tried the CVS version and got the same error:
cc   -g -DIN_GCC     -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DGENERATOR_FILE  -o gengtype \
 gengtype.o gengtype-lex.o gengtype-yacc.o ../libiberty/libiberty.a
./gengtype
gmake[1]: *** [s-gtype] Bus error (core dumped)
gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/u/ba/rrr6399/opt/src/gcc/gcc'
