Actually this is fixed on the mainline already:
        fnstcw  -2(%ebp)
        movw    -2(%ebp), %ax
        movb    $12, %ah
        movw    %ax, -4(%ebp)
        sbbl    %edx, %edx
        fldcw   -4(%ebp)
Note no use of orb, instead it uses movb.
