GCC 3.2.3 Linker error while compiling appz using <errno.h> (maybe glibc error)

In that case, this may be an actual gcc bug.  However, in order to 
investigate this, we need a testcase that we can use to reproduce the 
bug.  Also, preferably, this bug should be put in our bugzilla database, 
since we don't track random bugs sent to the mailing list.  See
