[Bug middle-end/12548] [3.4 Regression] [non-weak] gcj now failes to compile included example

This is boot.jar from Eclipse 3.0M4:

This is gcc 3.4 (win32): gcc version 3.4 20031109 (experimental)

gcj -c boot.jar -o boot.o

Works fine with 3.3.1.  There are no .* files in boot.jar that I can see.
