------- Additional Comments From pinskia@physics.uc.edu 2003-05-25 16:16 -------
This looks like is okay on ppc on the mainline (20030525) but not with -fno-omit-frame-
pointer.
PPC asm with -fno-omit-frame-pointer:
__Z3foov:
        stmw r30,-8(r1)
        stwu r1,-48(r1)
        mr r30,r1
        lwz r1,0(r1)
        li r3,0
        lmw r30,-8(r1)
        blr
        .align 2
        .globl __Z3barv
__Z3barv:
        stmw r30,-8(r1)
stwu r1,-80(r1) <--- see that this is more than above
        mr r30,r1
        lwz r1,0(r1)
        li r3,0
        lmw r30,-8(r1)
        blr

PPC asm without -fno-omit-frame-pointer:
__Z3foov:
        li r3,0
        blr
        .align 2
        .globl __Z3barv
__Z3barv:
        li r3,0
        blr
