Posix v 200112L conformance breaks gcc build

Greetings all.

Have few patches here to sort out issues that arise from deprecated
features in
coreutils 5.0 binaries which breaks the gcc build

When coreutils is compiled against current cvs glibc, due to
_POSIX2_VERSION=200104L
which now (since 20030404) appears in the header posix/unistd.h the
resultant binaries no longer support common options
such as

head -10, tail +12c

see
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/info-gnu/2002-08/msg00000.html

Causes quite a few issues with configure scripts etc.

Find attached a couple of patches, one is for current gcc-3.2.3 the
other is for
cvs gcc 3.3 from 20030510, both which fix all deprecated usages.

Hope this helps...

Regards
Ryan Oliver
