It seems to me that there is something messed up on your system:
you're trying to invoke a compiler configured for Solaris 2.6
on a Solaris 2.8 machine. Did you bootstrap the compiler
on the machine which you're trying to use it on?
Note that I can't reproduce the problem on natively configured
compilers at all, neither on Solaris 2.6 nor on Solaris 2.8.
