Hi,

I am a developer currently trying to port gcc3.1.1 on HP-NonStopUx(the
erstwhile Compaq-Tandem NonstopUx).
We are using mips RISC processors.
I believe there are no standard configuration files for the above said
platform. Therefore I wrote platform specific
files under the directory : ./gcc/config/mips/nonstopux.h
                                     ./gcc/config/mips/xm-mips.h
                                     ./gcc/config/mips/xm-nonstopux.h

The build has been proceeing as I write this but I am consistently
getting the following warning:

stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -B/usr/local/mips-compaq-nonstopux/bin/ -c
-DIN_GCC -g -O2 -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes
-Wmissing-prototypes -Wtraditional -pedantic -Wno-long-long
-DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I/home/anil/praveen/gcc-3.1.1/gcc
-I/home/anil/praveen/gcc-3.1.1/gcc/.
-I/home/anil/praveen/gcc-3.1.1/gcc/config
-I/home/anil/praveen/gcc-3.1.1/gcc/../include
/home/anil/praveen/gcc-3.1.1/gcc/graph.c -o graph.o
<command line>:1:1: warning: "__STDC__" redefined

I configured gcc3.1.1 as:
"CC -std" <srcdir>/configure

where -std flag on our systems indicates:
-Xa or -std
             (ANSI/ISO C only.) ANSI/ISO C with all the same
definitions as -cckr. __STDC__ is defined, the
value is set to 0, and it adds many symbols into the
             namespace.
Is it possible for me to overcome the above warning, or should I ignore
it.

Thanks very much.
With Regards-Praveen
