I'm bootstrapping GCC 3.2.3 as an intermediate stage as we speak. It look MUCH 
better so far. Right now it's already using  
stage1/xgcc -Bstage1/ -B/usr/local/sparc-sun-solaris2.8/bin/ -DIN_GCC ...
